Paying for Therapy

How much does therapy cost?

My rate for therapy is $200 per 50 minute session.

Do you take insurance?

Do you offer sliding scale/reduce fee sessions?

I offer reduced fee therapy through Open Path Psychotherapy Collective. Individual sessions through Open Path are $50-$70. Please check my Open Path profile to see if I am currently accepting new reduced-fee clients.

Scheduling

How does scheduling work?

After the initial consultation, we will agree a day and time for your appointment each week (or every other week). That time will be set aside for you and no one else. I request that you tell me the day before if you need to cancel for any reason. You are also welcome to see if I have another time available, either by email, phone, or talking to me in session. Existing clients can make one-time changes to their appointments using the secure client portal.

What hours are you available?

I am typically availabile for therapy appointments from 11am to 6:30pm, Monday-Thursday. My latest appointment is 5:30pm.

Teletherapy

Can I continue telehealth after the COVID-19 pandemic?

Yes! Telehealth will continue to be offered to people who are not in Seattle or who would prefer not to travel to the office for any reason. Telehealth is also a great option for days when you are feeling well enough for therapy but not well enough to come in.

Can I attend telehealth therapy from anywhere?

Maybe. I am licensed to work with clients who are located in Washington State at the time of service. I am also licensed to work with clients who are located in participating PsyPact states as long as I am in Washington at the time of service. Here is a list of current PsyPact states: https://psypact.org/mpage/psypactmap. Please let me know ahead of time if you will not be in Washington during your session.

Services

Do you prescribe medication?

I am not able to prescribe medications. However, I am happy to refer you to a medication provider if that's an option you wish to explore. I am also available to talk with your medication provider to support your treatment.
